If you’ve been searching for a Howard Beach dispensary and coming up short, you’re not alone — and this guide is here to help. Howard Beach residents are closer to a fully licensed, adult-use cannabis shop than many people realize, and knowing what to expect before you go makes the whole experience a lot smoother.
The Nearest Howard Beach Dispensary Is Just a Short Drive Away
There isn’t a licensed dispensary physically located in Howard Beach right now, but Woodhaven Cannabis Co. is one of the closest options available to you. Located at 6308 Woodhaven Blvd, Rego Park, Queens, NY 11374, it sits right on the Rego Park, Forest Hills, and Middle Village border — a straightforward trip up the Belt Parkway and onto Woodhaven Blvd.
The store holds a New York State OCM license (OCM-CAURD-25-000256), which means every product on the shelf comes from a licensed New York grower and meets state testing standards. If you’ve been buying from unlicensed shops, the difference in product consistency and labeling clarity is genuinely noticeable.
You can reach the store by phone at 646-405-0081 or browse the live menu at woodhavencannabis.com/store before you head out.
What a Howard Beach Dispensary Visit Actually Looks Like
Walking into a licensed New York dispensary for the first time is low-key and easy. You’ll show a valid government-issued photo ID at the door — every guest must be 21 or older, no exceptions. That’s true whether you’re picking up an online order or just browsing in person.
Once you’re inside, a budtender walks you through the menu. The selection at Woodhaven Cannabis Co. covers flower, pre-rolls, vapes, concentrates, edibles, tinctures, topicals, and accessories. If you’re new to any of these categories, the staff is used to explaining everything from scratch without making you feel rushed.
Payment options are cash, debit card, and Aeropay. Credit cards aren’t accepted, which is standard for cannabis retail in New York right now, so it’s worth knowing before you arrive.
Howard Beach Dispensary Hours: Open Earlier Than Most
One thing that sets this Howard Beach dispensary option apart is the early opening time on weekdays. Woodhaven Cannabis Co. opens at 8am Monday through Friday — earlier than most Queens dispensaries. Weekend hours are 9am–11pm Saturday and 9am–10pm Sunday, with Friday hours running until 11pm.
Full weekly hours are:
- Monday–Thursday: 8am–10pm
- Friday: 8am–11pm
- Saturday: 9am–11pm
- Sunday: 9am–10pm
That early weekday window is genuinely useful if your schedule is tight or you’d rather avoid the after-work rush.
Skip the Drive: Delivery to Howard Beach
If making the trip to Rego Park doesn’t fit your day, the store offers same-day cannabis delivery across Queens — and Howard Beach falls within the delivery zone. Delivery is free with an $80 minimum order, and same-day orders are accepted until 9pm.
You’ll still need to show a valid government-issued photo ID at the door when the order arrives — the 21+ rule applies at delivery too. For a full breakdown of how Queens cannabis delivery works, our post on weed delivery in Queens walks through everything step by step.
Ordering online is easy: go to woodhavencannabis.com/store, pick your products, and your order is typically ready in about 15 minutes for pickup, or dispatched for delivery. Online orders can be placed starting 15 minutes before opening until 20 minutes before close.
What to Look for on the Menu as a Howard Beach Dispensary Shopper
Whether you’re a first-timer or someone who’s been buying from gray-market shops for years, the licensed menu has a few things worth knowing about. All products display THC and CBD percentages, batch test results, and terpene information — the labeling is standardized by the state, so you can actually compare products meaningfully.
If you’re exploring beyond flower, edibles and vapes tend to be popular entry points for people new to dispensaries. Dosing with edibles in particular can surprise people — our guide to cannabis edibles dosing is worth a read before you buy. And if terpenes are a new concept to you, understanding them can genuinely change how you shop — New York State’s consumer health guidance is a solid starting point alongside what your budtender can tell you in person.
The store also runs a rewards program tied to your phone number, so regular visits add up over time.
